Dr Amanda Able
Dr Amanda Able, renowned for her research into plant diseases, was named South Australia's Tall Poppy of the Year in 2006. As a senior lecturer at the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine she has helped secure almost $2 million funding for plant-related research at the University of Adelaide since 2001. Her laboratory is a world leader in understanding the physiology of plant-pathogen interactions and postharvest disorders. |
