Urrbrae House is situated on the Waite Campus of the University of Adelaide, about 20 minutes drive from the Adelaide city centre. The nearest main intersection is the junction of Cross Road and Fullarton Road, Urrbrae.

By car:
The drive up to Urrbrae House is marked by a Tourism Heritage sign on Fullarton Road. Entry is via the gate on Fullarton Road. If you are heading south, it is the first turn on your left after crossing over Cross Road.

Follow the 800 metre, eucalypt-lined driveway (Walter Young Avenue) to the free public carpark on your left as you near the House.

Please note that the gate on Fullarton Road is locked at sunset unless prior arrangements for extended public access during special events have been made by Urrbrae House staff with on-campus Security.

Disabled parking:
Please note that due to the stairs, disabled access to the House is limited.  There is a single disability carpark at the rear of Urrbrae House; enter via Gate 3 off Waite Road and proceed west.

Taxis are available to use the driveway off Fullarton Road and can bring you to the front steps of the House.

By bus from the city:
Bus route 171, stop 12 on Fullarton Road, and then walk up the long driveway.  Please note that the walk can take 15 minutes or more depending on your pace.

Alternatively, on Monday to Friday, take Bus route 146, to stop 23 on Waite Road.  Enter Gate 3 and walk west for a minute or two which will take you to the rear of Urrbrae House and the 20th Century Rose Garden.  Follow the path to the front door.

Please phone Urrbrae House on (08) 8303 7497 or email Amanda Jackson for information and assistance.
