Wine Research Centre

Tours

Urrbrae House Historic Precinct visitors will learn about the history of Peter Waite and his family and view one of the most significant private houses built in South Australia.

Visitors to the gardens of the Historic Precinct will learn about the Master Plan and the artists gardens. Thematic gardens include the Twentieth Century Rose Garden, the Sundial Garden, the Sensory Garden, the Gatrden of Discovery and the Mallee Sculpture Garden.

The Waite Arboretum visitors will be shown around the 30 hectares of more than 2500 trees by one of our very knowledgeable guides.

Science On Show visitors can experience state of the art science at the Waite Campus through tours of the Plant Science Centre and the Wine Research Centre.

Booked Tours
Tours of Urrbrae House Historic Precinct, Historic Precinct Gardens, Waite Arboretum and Science on Show can be booked for anytime for groups of 15 people or more. Charges apply.

Regular Tours
The regular guided tours of the Urrbrae House Historic Precinct will resume on the first Sunday of February 2007. The free tour starts at 2.00pm and ends at 3.00pm. Meet the guide at the entrance of Urrbrae House. Booking is not necessary. There are regular guided walks of the Waite Arboretum on the first Sunday of every month. The free guided walk starts at 11.00am and ends at 12.30pm. Meet the guide at the entrance of Urrbrae House. Bookings are not necessary.
