Ballroom
The ballroom and adjacent supper room are on the lower level of Urrbrae House, where the architect's clever design allows natural light from abundant windows and a lower verandah.
During Adelaide's baking summers, Peter Waite and his family often moved into the ballroom to escape the worst of the heat. The large mirror is the only remaining original feature.
In 1996 the ballroom was restored and until 1999 housed the National Textile Museum of Australia. It is now an exhibition, conference and social function venue.
The Urrbrae House Ballroom and Dining Room are available for hire. Please visit our Event Bookings page for further details.
